Asalamu Alaikum all, Greetings of Peace and Blessings,
Eid Al-Adha (The Festival of the Sacrifice) and the end of Hajj (Pilgrimage in Mecca) will fall on Tuesday, July 20. The Arizona Muslim Alliance (AMA) would like to wish the community an Eid-Mubarak. On that day, we remember Allah’s favors on our father Prophet Abraham and commemorate his willingness to sacrifice his son for the sake of Allah.
Arafah falls on Monday July 19th, a day in which fasting is recommended and meritorious.
During these blessed days, please also consider supporting the Arizona Muslim Alliance (https://www.azmuslims.org/) and other community organizations.
Eid Prayer will be held at various local Masajid and at Arizona Cultural Academy. Please check related websites for details about prayer times. As an act of thanksgiving, and carrying out the tradition of the prophet Abraham, you can give locally to ICNA-Relief that will distribute meat to members of the Arizona Community and you may also give to organizations such as Helping Hand for Relief and Development that will be distributing meat internationally.
We pray that Allah accept our deeds and he continues to bless and unite our community.
The Arizona Muslim Alliance is an umbrella organization of local mosques, institutions, and nonprofit organizations aimed to have a unifying voice for Arizona’s Muslim Community.
