Volunteer With Us
There are a number of ways that you can get involved and support Refugee Task Force operations!
Before you begin, please complete RTF's Volunteer Interest Assessment to let us know of the areas that might interest you most!
Community Service @ the Distribution Center

Our recently opened Distribution Center is not only a space for storage, it doubly, and most importantly, functions as a place for our community members to come together in service, as individuals, as a family, or as an organized group—this includes social groups, local organizations, youth groups, Scouts troops, Senior groups, etc. We welcome everyone!
Whether it is a couple of hours a week, or an afternoon once a month, every hour counts for us! Your service hours will help us with our operations, and ultimately, benefit the lives of our local refugee families.

Get Certified as a Volunteer!

You do NOT need to be certified in order to volunteer with us, however, by getting "certified," you will have a lot more opportunities available to you to choose from, especially those that directly interface with refugee families.
Get certified as an AMA-Refugee Task Force (RTF) volunteer today by confirming that you have reviewed the "Volunteer Orientation" slide deck, and by completing and emailing us the relevant forms, see below. BONUS! A complimentary background check is included with this training by sending us the completed IRC forms!

We are using the International Rescue Committee, IRC's training deck so that we can provide them, as one of the larger resettlement agencies in the area, with the added benefit of having a pool of volunteers trained, certified, and background checked within the RTF network and community. This is to mitigate any limitations to the services that we can offer to help these vulnerable families. We will share both IRC & non-IRC-related volunteer opportunities with you as they become available.
If you have any questions about the information in the slide deck, you can contact Alena Gormally—the IRC Volunteer Outreach Coordinator: VolunteerPHX@rescue.org.
